What does your plumbing system do?
All plumbing systems can be broken down into two basic categories:
- The water supply system
- The Drainage, Waste, and Vent (DWV) system.
The water supply system brings clean water into the home while the Drainage, Waste, and Vent system removes wastewater and prevents the danger of sewage gas seeping back through the pipes into the house. Plumbers use a combination of water pressure and gravity to make your plumbing system work.
